SYLLABUS

                      Syllabus of the discipline "Economic theory" for full-time students learning is
               given in Table 1. The main forms of the learning process are:
                      - lectures;
                      - practicals;
                      - individual work.
                      The standard course of is 72 hours (2.0 credits) for full-time students. This
               number of hours includes all forms of educational process depending on the mode
               (learning), the duration of certain forms of educational process equally (there is an
               only exception for individual classes provided only for full-time study).
                      The lectures deal with themes or individual issues that are both complex in
               meaning, incomplete and not systematically described particularly in text books.
                      At the workshops the most significant methodological issues requiring
               discussion and understanding of their essence are considered.
                      Each student independently should solve problems, analyze specific situations,
               making progress step by step and keep obtained results (in written form). At the
               workshops tested ways of their answers are checked and only after that a final
               decision can be made. At the practicals students' current level of knowledge is
               evaluated.
                      Students’ individual work is the main means of mastering the discipline,
               obtaining required skills after the lectures. It presupposes reading special text books
               and doing assignments.
