be linked in a secure, reliable way to the actuator, whereby the
position indicator can also serve as actuator, provided that it can
only display the position “Open” in the “OFF” position, when all
moving contacts are in the “Open” position. This is to be verified
           by testing.

4 Decide, whether the following statements are true or
false in relation to the information in the text. Change false
           statements into true ones.
             1. The disconnector is a mechanical device that fulfills in the
closed position the requirements specified for the isolation
           function.
             2. According to IEC 60947-3, an isolator must only be able to
           make and break a circuit.
             3. The isolator function can be realized with a variety of
devices such as for example in disconnectors, fuse-disconnectors,
           switch-disconnectors, fuse-switch disconnectors and circuit
           breakers without isolating function.
             4. Fuse-switch-disconnectors are legally permitted in all
           countries.
             5. The purpose of the isolating function is to cut off the
supply from all or a discrete section of the installation by
separating the installation or section from every source of
electrical energy for reasons of safety.

5 Pick out of Text 1 five sentences containing Passive Voice
Constructions and translate them into Ukrainian.

6 Give definitions of disconnectors, load switches, switch
           disconnectors, circuit breakers.

7 Give the main points of each passage of Text 1.

             8 Make a plan to Text 1.

9 Reproduce Text 1 in your own words according to the
           plan.
