INTRODUCTION

               Aim of the discipline “The Fundamentals of Petroleum
           Engineering. Module 4. The Fundamentals of Petroleum
           Technology”- to familiarize students with the history of the
           formation and development IFNTUOG and profiling Department
           of developing and exploitation of oil and gas fields, the home plan
           and expertise of specialist features specialty training, distribution
           of work graduates, internship in companies and their association
           with department, history, current state and prospects of the oil and
           gas industry, for the students to appropriate knowledge of reservoir
           properties of productive layers, composition and physical and
           chemical properties of oil and gas prospecting and exploration of
           oil and gas, construction of oil and gas drilling, exploration oil and
           gas and increasing petroleum recovery factor, exploitation of oil
           and gas wells and methods of intensification of their work,
           cleaning and preparation of oil and gas fields, the construction and
           operation of pipelines, pump and compressor stations and
           reservoirs, storage and distribution of oil and gas, underground gas
           storage processing of oil and gas, energy saving technologies in
           the oil and gas industry, safety, protection of mineral resources and
           the environment from pollution in oil and gas.
               As a result of discipline studying students should know:
               - The history, current state and prospects of development of
           the oil and gas industry;
               - Basic physical and lithological characteristics of rocks;
               - Composition and physical-chemical properties of oil and
           gas;
               - Stages and methods and exploration of oil and gas;
               - The concept of design and construction cycle wells and
           disclosure of productive strata, equipment slaughter, development
           and exploration wells;
